How to get to High Wray, Farnham, Surrey

South West Trains from London, Waterloo. Usually they run twice each hour.

We suggest you hire a taxi from the railway station, because much of the 1 mile  (1.6 km) walk runs between high banks without any footpath.

By Car (the art is to avoid going through the town centre).

From North, or West along M3. Get to Junction 4 on the M3 and head South down the A331, signed Farnham.

After some 6 miles (10 km) At A31 go towards Farnham.

 

At a very large roundabout (Shepherd & Flock) keep on A31 towards Alton and Winchester.

At traffic lights, turn left (towards rail station), go up a short hill to level crossing.

As your car wheels leave the rails, bear right, go through traffic lights 1 mile (1.6 km) to the top of 2nd hill.

At cross-roads (landmark 40 mph speed limit sign) turn right into Lodge Hill Road.

We are #73  -  the first entrance on the right.

From South West Approach Farnham via A325 or A31

Keep on A31, bypassing Farnham town centre

Go through traffic lights (right turn prohibited) to Shepherd & Flock roundabout. Follow instructions from

From South (Haslemere/Hindhead)

Take A287 from Hindhead cross-roads (traffic lights) on A3, towards Farnham.

In Lower Bourne village (20 mph speed limit) at the cross-roads turn right along Lodge Hill Road.

After ½ mile, watch for warning sign “Stop 50 yds”,

Turn in left to #73, before the sign.
